Flag Day for Youth Clubs for the Autistic Community

A new Youth Club group for young autistic people in the Nenagh area will be holding its first Flag Day in Nenagh on Saturday, April 2. This community initiative has been set up by local parents in partnership with Youth Work Ireland (Tipperary).

The aim is to create regular clubs for young autistic people across a wide range of interests and activities as identified by the club members themselves. Young autistic people rarely have social spaces they can call their own. These clubs will give them an opportunity to engage in fun activities in a safe environment, hopefully finding new friends and building confidence along the way. Parents and supporters will also benefit from the opportunity to meet up and share their knowledge and experience.

The Youth Club hopes to raise funds from their Flag Day towards venue hire and activities and events. Volunteers will be shaking their buckets at all the usual spots around Nenagh on April 2, please support them if you can!
