Pay-to-use waste facilities for Toomevara

Tipperary Co Council has received a planning application for pay-to-use portable waste compacting facilities in the village of Toomevara.

BIGbin Waste Tech Ltd is seeking to provide the facilities at Centra, Casey's Service Station. A proposed compactor is to be used for the acceptance of residual and food waste. Permission is also sought for a pay-to-use portable compactor for mixed dry recyclables.

The application notes that this activity requires the developers to possess a waste certificate of registration. A decision from the council is due by August 29.
