Think of something new this autumn

Do you want to learn some new skills and enjoy good company at the same time? Would you like to do this without pressure or feeling self-conscious in an atmosphere of support and encouragement?

Most people have a huge fear of speaking in front of a group of people and often actively avoid it but at the same time would love to be reasonably comfortable speaking to a group. Is it time you started on the road to achieving that comfort? We all know the value of developing our skills in many areas of our lives but somehow we seem to think that being able to speak in front of a group is some kind of natural gift. In fact, it is a skill we can all develop if we have the right support.

That is where Nenagh Toastmasters can help. The club title sounds a bit stuffy but our club is far from that.

Our club prides itself on diversity with all age groups and members from all walks of life. We meet in an atmosphere of light-heartedness and encouragement to each other.

So, if you are feeling even a little bit interested, go on, take a tiny risk. The club meets in the Abbey Court Hotel every second Tuesday, starting on September 6. Each meeting starts punctually at 8.15pm and meetings generally finish by 10.15.

Please be reassured that you can come to a few meetings before making up your mind and you will not be asked to speak, so sit back and see what you think.
