The gig is being held in memory of Gerry McInerney, who died in 2016.

Nenagh gig in memory of Gerry

After being called off in 2020 and again last year because of the pandemic, the fourth Gerry McNamara remembrance gig is finally going ahead at The Well in Nenagh this Saturday night.

This year is the sixth anniversary of Gerry's death. Aged just 39, the Nenagh man died following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Gerry was a gifted drummer and he played with a number of local bands. He also co-founded 'Nightmare Promotions' with his close friend and fellow musician Phil Brett with the aim of promoting live music gigs in Nenagh.

Phil has continued that legacy and honoured Gerry's memory with an annual gig at The Well. This Saturday's event promises to make up for the absence of the last two years with an excellent lineup featuring Feckin Raging, a local ensemble playing the music of Rage Against the Machine. They'll be joined by purveyors of '80s-2000s rock The Flashbacks, and by original Indie artist Joe Bailey.

Don't miss out! Doors at 8.30pm this Saturday and admission charge of €5. Strictly over 18s.
