Borrisokane hosts AGM of local Fianna Fáil

The members of Fianna Fáil in the Nenagh local electoral area, comprising Nenagh, Borrisokane, Lower Ormond and surrounding areas gathered in The Yanks Inn in Borrisokane on Friday evening, November 11, for their Annual General Meeting.
A well-attended event, with lively discussion on a number of issues including Fianna Fáil's delivery in Government to date, housing policy, access to healthcare for all, homecare and home help packages for the elderly, and growing and building the Fianna Fáil organisation in the area.
Deputy Jackie Cahill addressed the room on the night on his work in Government and detailed some of the recent investment into the county, including the recent announcement of over €30Million in Rural Regeneration Development Funding for a number of Tipperary's towns.
The Fianna Fáil Local Area Representative for Nenagh - Borrisokane - Lower Ormond, Ryan O'Meara also spoke on the evening and addressed the issue of housing supply and his desire to see Fianna Fáil delivering on housing for the generations who have been locked out of the property market to date.
The newly elected Officer Board is as follows: Tony Doorley, Chairperson; Matt Givens, Vice Chairperson; Orla O'Kennedy, Secretary; Maggie Kent, Vice Secretary; Margaret Grace, Treasurer 1; Tomás O'Meara, Treasurer 2; Aidan Hough, PRO; and Ryan O'Meara, Youth Officer.
The Officer Board look forward to the year ahead and to rebuilding the Fianna Fáil network in parishes, towns and villages across the area.
