Limerick on Ice train trips return
Following a two-year absence due to Covid, the ever popular Limerick on Ice train trips organised by North Tipperary Community Rail Partnership are set to return.
The partnership has arranged two days for the skating trips, with Nenagh taking the train on January 3, and people from Cloughjordan going on January 4, though everyone is welcome to come along on any of the days. The partnership has arranged for the groups to be catered for on the ice between 12pm and 1pm each day.
The cost of tickets is €6 return on the train, and €12 for entry to Limerick on Ice on production of a train ticket. The normal entry fee is €17.
The partnership has thanked Irish Rail and Limerick on Ice for their continued support ever since the trips began almost 20 years ago.
The train leaves Cloughjordan at 9.26am; Nenagh, 9.55am, and Birdhill at 10.19am. The train returns from Colbert station in Limerick at 5.10pm.
The contact person for Cloughjordan is Elaine Baker on 087-1243588, and, for Nenagh, contact Louise Morgan Walsh on 087-6154146.
