Series of thefts from cars in Nenagh

Gardaí have issued yet another reminder for motorist security after four thefts from cars were reported in Nenagh over the last few days. All of the incidents took place in housing estates around the town. Witness information is sought.

Gardaí are also investigating damage to the window of a car parked in the Summerhill area overnight between Saturday and Sunday last. The breaking of a window in a housing estate in Portroe over recent days is also under investigation.

A man was arrested at the scene of an aggravated burglary reported in the Borrisokane Road area of Nenagh last Saturday. The suspect was detained at Nenagh Garda Station and charged to court.

In Roscrea, gardaí are harvesting CCTV footage as part an investigation into a house burglary at Air Hill. The break-in occurred between 3am and 4am on Saturday. An appeal has been made for witness information.

Elsewhere, an Irish Air Corps Emergency Aeromedical Service (EAS) helicopter landed at the MacDonagh Park GAA complex in Nenagh last Sunday evening.

The Defence Forces has confirmed that the helicopter was tasked to assist an individual following a cardiac arrest in Nenagh. The patient was treated at the scene and transferred by road to hospital.

In another incident that happened around the same time, emergency services attended the scene of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the M7 southbound near Ballywilliam. It is understood that one of the vehicles caught fire. No injuries were reported. Enquiries are ongoing.
