Killavilla and Rearcross to meet in Premier Cup final

By Gary Culbert

Killavilla United booked their place in the Ricky Fogarty Premier Cup final thanks to a late Michael Ryan goal against BT Harps in Templemore on Sunday.

Harps were in search of another final place after getting to the Tipperary Cup Final. It was scoreless at the break and that’s how it remained going into the last five minutes, until Villa went ahead through a scrappy goal, and it was just too late for Harps to mount a comeback.

Rearcross progressed to the final having been awarded a walkover against Lough Derg. The final will be played this Friday in Moneygall with a 7.00pm kick-off.

Barry Cup Final

Cup specialists Sallypark Odhrans were far too strong for Cloughjordan in the Barry Cup final in Moneygall last Friday night.

Jack Sanders headed home from a corner midway through the second half to give the cup experts the lead, whilst Paul Walsh put daylight between the sides shortly after.

Sallypark will aim to complete a cup double when they take on BT Harps in the Tipperary Cup final in Drombane next Sunday.

Under 19 Premier League

Ardcroney well and truly upset the title celebrations when they defeated Moneygall 5-1 on Saturday in a rainy Ardcroney.

Ross Austin put in a man of the match performance, netting a hat-trick from centre midfield while Jack Mulcahy came off the bench to add a brace to the scoreline. The champion’s sole response was a Dylan McCormack strike just after the break. However, Moneygall were presented with the trophy following the game.
