Ormond aim to end season with silverware in Charity Cup Final

The Nenagh Ormond Senior team will have one final shot at silverware to finish the season when they take on Shannon this evening (Thursday) at 8.00pm in the Sporting Limerick North Munster Charity Cup Final in Lisatunny.

Having this game on home turf is an extra boost and following the super performance against Division 1A opponents in the Munster Senior Cup Final in March, the status of the opponents will not put Nenagh off either.

Shannon do have the advantage of coming in with a bounce from winning their Division 1A playoff game with Highfield last weekend comfortably whereas Nenagh have been idle since their playoff defeat to Blackrock two weeks ago. All the same both sides will relish the chance to end the year with a cup to show for their efforts so there will no doubt be plenty of interest on Thursday evening. All gate proceeds go towards charitable causes in the Mid-West region so please support both this and the Nenagh team by attending on Thursday.
