Investigations ongoing following jetski death on Derg

Investigations are ongoing after a young man died while jetskiing on Lough Derg on Wednesday evening.

The incident occurred when a jetski carrying three people, flipped over near Killaloe bridge, throwing all three into the water. Two people were rescued from the water safely.

However, the young man's body was later recovered by search and rescue teams, involving Killaloe coastguard, the local fire and ambulance service, and gardaí.

It is believed the 19-year-old victim was from Limerick.
