Dáire’s long cycle

On Fathers Day, June 18, a little boy from Aglish was one of three generations from his family to take part in a cycle in Galway to raise funds for a charity working with heart illness and stroke.

Dáire Horan Flaherty, aged 6, participated in the Croí charity cycle which was staged over a 47km route. He was the youngest person registered for the event.

Dáire is in senior infants in St Joseph’s NS in Aglish and was accompanied on the cycle by his very proud grandad, Pat Horan, father William Flaherty and his grandaunt, Breda Hayden.
