A celebration of learning in Nenagh

It was a time to celebrate the achievements of students in Teach an Léinn. Some of the students are receiving awards that they signed up for during the Covid-19 period. We are also proud to present awards to our first Ukrainian students. Congratulations to all involved; it is with a lot of dedication from students and help from teachers and admin staff that we arrive here today. Well done to all.

Two programmes are run full-time in Teach an Leinn, QQI General Learning and Information and Communications Technology Skills.

These programmes provide the learner with opportunity to complete core QQI modules alongside Leaving Certificate subjects. Providing a solid foundation in a range of core subjects that allows the learner to effectively develop their oral and written communication and technology skills as a basis for progression to apprenticeships employment and/or further education.

Ideally participants would be available to participate full-time. Participants must be at least six months unemployed and in receipt of a relevant Social Protection payment, signing for credits or spouse of an eligible person on the date of commencement of the course.

To help with progression choices learners are given the opportunities to visit PLC colleges and Third Level institutes both for open days and shadowing opportunities. Help is provided with the CAO application process, preparation for academic interviews and information sessions on grants/funding also provided.

This course is aimed at anyone who did not get the chance to finish their education journey or who wish to refresh their knowledge in certain subjects in order to change career path or who wish to re-do their Leaving Cert to improve on the first time around.
