Homecoming for Sharlene in Newport

A homecoming to mark the wonderful achievements of Newport's Sharlene Mawdsley at the World Athletic Championships in Budapest last week. She was a member of the Irish Mixed Relay Team placed sixth in the world and the Women's 4x400 Relay Team placed eight, having recorded the fastest time of the quartet in the semi-final and earn a place in the coveted world final.

Newport Athletic Club, of which she is a member, and the whole community are extremely proud of Sharlene and wish her continued success.

HOMECOMING

Everyone is invited to come along to celebrate Sharelene's remarkable success, which takes place at the Boys National School in Newport (Eircode - V94RX20) this Friday, September 1, at 6.30pm.
