McDonald's opens its newest restaurant in Nenagh
McDonald’s newest restaurant in Ireland has opened today in Nenagh.
The new restaurant, which has already created over 75 jobs in the local area, has opened at Nenagh Business Park on the Limerick Road in the town. The new jobs created range from full-time and part-time crew member roles to mid and senior managerial positions.
Customers are now able to order their food in-restaurant and via the drive-thru. Like all McDonald's restaurants across Ireland, the beef, bacon, milk, water and eggs served in the Nenagh restaurant will be 100% Irish.
McDonald’s Franchisee John Quirke said: “This major investment in Nenagh reflects McDonald’s commitment to growing its business in Ireland and I’m pleased to confirm our new store has already created significant levels of direct employment, as well as indirectly through the agri-food and manufacturing supply chain.”
John said that forging strong community links in Nenagh and the surrounding area will be a key focus for the restaurant team in the months ahead.
“McDonald’s is committed to serving the local communities around our restaurants, so we are very much looking forward to building relationships with local community groups, organisations and stakeholders in Nenagh and the surrounding area,” he said.
The new Nenagh restaurant brings McDonald’s portfolio of restaurants in the Republic of Ireland to 96, all of which are operated by Franchisees, employing more than 7,000 staff.
