Silver Arch delighted with top award
Silver Arch FRC and Tipperary County Council proudly accepted an IBP Pride of Place award at the IBP Pride of Place Awards ceremony, which took place in the Armagh City hotel on Friday, November 10. This award was presented for the collaborative project submitted to the competition entitled ‘We Love Nenagh’. The project was submitted into the competition under the category ‘population over 4000’. Tipperary County Council submitted the ‘We Love Nenagh’ application to the competition with Silver Arch FRC as lead organisation.
Following a beautiful performance by the Nenagh Brass Band, both parties worked together to prepare a presentation on the work they do which was delivered on August 10 in the Civic Offices in Nenagh. Judges were then escorted on a tour through Nenagh town to see the many highlights the town has to offer including the Community Garden, the Tourist Office, World Champion Irish dancers Lucie Pardy and Keelen Chute and finishing with a visit to Ballygraigue Court where the judges experienced the biodiversity garden that is currently under development by Cluid residents with the support of Silver Arch FRC.
‘We Love Nenagh’ is a testament to the community of Nenagh and their dedication in creating pride in our town and Silver Arch FRC would like to thank all those involved in showcasing Nenagh back in August and offer congratulations to everyone on an outstanding achievement.
