Roscrea’s Jack Keeshan has a Christmas single out.

Christmas song from Jack Keeshan

Roscrea musician opening for Kiera Dignam

Roscrea musician Jack Keeshan has a new song out for Christmas, and he's hoping people will help it make the festive season charts.

‘Christmas Time is Here’ features children from Clonlisk and Castletown primary schools.

It will be officially out this Friday, November 24, and can already be pre-ordered on iTunes.

“The song is about knowing who and what’s important at Christmas,” says Jack, who points out that there is a great chance of his single making the Christmas charts if people pre-order it on iTunes now. This song is the latest venture from Jack, who was on tour in Ireland all summer, playing as many gigs as he could and supporting acts like Ryan Sheridan, Jemma Hayes, Mundy, Mike Pyro and Emma Langford.

He also performed at the Electric Picnic festival.

Last Saturday, Jack played support to Kíla at Dolans in Limerick. He is now taking a short break to record a few new songs before returning to playing live with a number of huge shows.

Jack will be supporting Kiera Dignam (daughter of the late Christy of Aslan fame) at the Moate Theatre in Naas on December 14 and again at Dublin's Opium Live venue on December 27.

All 1,000 tickets for the latter gig are completely sold out.

The Roscrea native revealed that he has more tour dates with Kiera in 2024, and that he has been in talks with Damien Dempsey's management about gigs in March and April.

So, lots going on and lots to look forward to for the local singer-songwriter, who has already made a name for himself through the infectious passion and dedication he has in his music, and his ability to inspire passion in others.

Jack is well-known for preforming and recording with musicians around north Tipperary and beyond.
