It’s here - Come one, come all!

The 2023 Nenagh Christmas Tree Festival

The Nenagh Christmas Tree Festival at St Mary’s Church of Ireland in Nenagh took a lot of work by a lot of people and we invite you to come share in our community’s artistry. There are a lot of seasonal activities in our area this year and it is so wonderful to see all the action after our worst fears of Covid are quieted. It’s still here, but in muted form and we are now really getting out to enjoy the season ourselves and boost the community spirit.

Some things especially are quite moving. All of our major grocery stores have contributed so generously with non-perishable food and all will go to our charity partner, the Nenagh Community Food Bank, to help with Christmas dinners for some. Last word was that in a recent week, 190 families were served and that is approximately 700 people. And of course, part of the festival income will go to this charity.

You can see from the pictures some of the amazing creativity, and do enjoy as part of the displays the wonderful quilted tapestry by Lulu Bergin. And what about that spotted cow, who clearly knows how to celebrate the holidays?

Come see what other ideas abound and enjoy our amazing teas, raffle, sales table with a variety of items for sale including jams, marmalades, chutneys and Christmas puddings.

The festival runs from Wednesday, December 13 through Sunday, December 17, with Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 1pm - 5.30pm,

Saturday and Sunday - 11am - 6:pm. The wonderful Carol Service will follow on Sunday at 6:30pm.

Admission is €5 each (accompanied children are free) and tea and goodies are €5 per person. We hope to see you there!
