Tipp Camogie teams get 2024 fixtures dates

The fixture schedules has been announced for the Tipperary camogie teams in the upcoming Very National Leagues, Tesco Minor and Under 16 Championships

SENIOR

Denis Kelly’s senior side will compete in Division 1A of the National League and begin on Saturday 17th February at home to Waterford who ended Tipp’s dreams of reaching an All-Ireland final last year.

The following Saturday, 24th February, Tipperary will host Galway, followed by a weekend off, before travelling to All-Ireland champions Cork on Marck 9th for round 3. They will have another weekends break before hosting travelling to Kilkenny on March 23rd, and will complete their group campaign with a trip to Clare on 30th March.

The top two teams will progress to the league final on Sunday 14th April, while the bottom placed team will be relegated to division 1B.

The Munster Championship is scheduled to take place from the weekends of April 28th to May 19th, with the All-Ireland Championship set to begin on the weekend of May 25th with draws to take place in due course.

JUNIOR

Tipperary’s junior team, under new manager Bill Mullaney, will begin their campaign much earlier in division 2B on January 27th when they host Cork. On February 3rd, they make a trip to Clare in a rematch of the 2023 All-Ireland junior final, won by the Banner.

They travel to Wexford on February 17th before returning home to face Galway in round 4 on March 2nd before wrapping up away to Kilkenny on March 9th. The top two teams will progress to the final on 23 March with the winner promoted to division 1B with the bottom team being relegated to division 3B.

The Munster Junior Championship is scheduled to take place from the weekends of April 28th to May 19th, with the All-Ireland Championship set to begin on the weekend of May 25th with draws to take place in due course.

MINOR

The Tipperary minors, under manager John Ryan, will be the first into championship action when they start at home to Kilkenny on March 3rd. A week later, they will be away to Galway with another away game in Antrim on March 24th. In round 4, they host Cork on April 7th, and wrap away to Waterford on April 14th.

The top four teams from this round-robin format will progress to the semi-finals on April 21st with the All-Ireland final schedule for UPMC Nowlan Park in Kilkenny on May 5th.

UNDER 16

The Tipperary under 16’s will begin their All-Ireland Championship campaign on May 5th at home to Limerick. A week later they travel to Cork before returning home to play Dublin on May 19th. There will be a weeks break before Tipp travel to Kilkenny on June 30th before wrapping up their round-robin campaign at home to Galway on July 7th.

The top-four teams progress to the All-Ireland semi-finals on July 14th with the final scheduled for UPMC Nowlan Park, Kilkenny on Saturday, 20th July.
