Roads blocked in Tipp following Storm Isha

The council wishes to advise the public that due to Storm Isha many roads are blocked throughout the county by fallen trees. These are unlikely to be cleared before the morning. Very strong winds will continue for several hours to come. The public are asked to postpone any journeys until the storm abates.

Motorists should exercise extreme caution when travelling on the roads due to danger posed by difficult travelling conditions/disruption, structural damage, falling trees, localised flooding.

We urge you to pay attention to weather bulletins and updates from the Council.

Arrangements have been made to issue an advisory through the local media this evening and to update the Tipperary County Council website. The position will continue to be monitored by the Council’s Severe Weather Assessment Team. Road Closure updates will be posted to the Council’s website and social media sites – Facebook/Twitter/MapAlerter.
