Gardaí investigate Nenagh incident

An incident in the centre of Nenagh that resulted in a male being transferred by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick is being investigated by gardaí.

An assault is believed to have occurred in Silver Street late on Saturday week or in the early hours of Sunday week last, July 20-21. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

BURGLARIES

Separately, a number of house burglaries occurred in the Roscrea and Nenagh areas in recent weeks, including in the areas of Aglish, Borrisokane and in Tyone, Nenagh.

Gardaí in Roscrea are investigating the puncturing of two tyres on a vehicle parked on Church Road in the town over the past weekend, while gardaí in Nenagh are appealing for information on damage caused to a digger at the Springfort Industrial Park on Monday.

Gardaí warn that counterfeit notes are still in circulation, revealing that one was recently passed in a shop in Moneygall.

A quantity of diesel was stolen from a tractor at Curryquinn, Dolla, on Wednesday of last week.

Gardaí are also seeking information on two cars that were broken in Lorrha earlier this month.

A number of trespassing incidents have taken place in the Ballingarry North and Roscrea areas recently.

Phishing type scams are ongoing and gardaí are urging people to be vigilant. A woman in the Roscrea area recently had several hundred euro stolen from her account after communicating through social media with a fraudster purporting to be a bank official.
