Nenagh bounce back as Newport find the going tough

Janesboro 3-3 Nenagh AFC
Nenagh AFC recovered from their surprise defeat to Hyde Rangers in round 4 by taking a point in their clash with Janesboro in an exciting 3-3 draw on Thursday last.
Saeed Ryan put Nenagh in front from the spot, but the visitors replied with a penalty of their own converted by Shane Clarke.
Dylan Morrison and Matt O'Gorman added goals for Nenagh to give them a two goal cushion they were pegged back by the home side when Shane O’Brien reduced the deficit and on 75 minutes Shane Clarke struck the equaliser.

Newport Town 1-3 Regional United
Newport fell 3-1 at home to Regional United at Derryleigh Park on Thursday.
An own goal helped Regional on their way before David Cowpar struck a second. Conor Brett pulled one back for Newport, but Joe Lavin had the final say for the visitors to complete the scoring.

Nenagh AFC 6-2 Carew Park
Nenagh AFC returned to winning ways with an impressive 6-2 win at home to Carew Park on Sunday.
Dylan Morrison scored twice for the home side with Kieran Barr, Cillian Scully, Fionn Higgins and Matt O'Gorman also finding the net. Jonathan Grant and Pat Boyle were on the mark for Carew Park.

Pike Rovers 7-1 Newport Town
Newport Town’s tale of woe in the Premier League continued on Sunday when they were hit for seven by a resurgent Pike Rovers.
Dylan Murphy (2), Dylan Kelly-Higgins (2), Josh Quinlivan, Sean Madigan and Vojtech Ptacek were the winning scorers; Pa Murtagh struck a late consolation for Newport.

Lower Leagues
In Division 1B, leaders Herbertstown won the top of the table clash with Nenagh AFC ‘B’, while a Luke Ryan goal saw Newport Town ‘B’ edge out Kilfrush.
In the weekend action, Nenagh AFC ‘B’ got back to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Glenview Rovers courtesy of goals from Diarmuid Fitzpatrick and Dan Furey.
In Division 2B, Lough Derg’s upturn in form continued with a 5-1 win away to Mungret Regional ‘C’ with Daniel Fogarty (2), Jack Grace and two own goals proving to be their match-winners.
In Division 3A, Nenagh AFC ‘C’ beat Lough Derg 5-1 in the Tipperary derby with goals from Liam Hogan (3), Cathal Delaney and Cian Galvin and the followed up on Sunday with a 6-3 win away to Patrickswell ‘B’ with Manny scoring a hat-trick with Cian Galvin, Jayden McGee and Liam Hogan also on target.
Youths
Daniel Connolly, Dylan McKenna and Coilin Doras scored for Nenagh AFC in a 3-3 draw at Mungret Regional in midweek, while on Sunday, despite goals from Daniel Connolly, Dylan McKenna, and Mark Manley, they fell 4-3 to Regional United in Brickfields.
Lough Derg went down 1-0 to Aisling Annacotty in midweek but on Sunday showed great character to bounced back from being 3-0 down to Fairview Rangers to win 4-3. Tom Shanahan, Sean Fahy, and a David Goode double won it for the Tipperary side.
