Showband Man will entertain you
Holidaymakers to the island of Lanzarote were delighted recently to discover that Nenagh-based entertainer, The Showband Man (Martin Grace), was performing at the popular Paddy’s Point Bar in the resort town of Puerto Del Carmen.
The nostalgic dancing of the showband era, jives, the slosh and of course the waltzes, led to a capacity crowd nightly. Several patrons have since described it as Lisdoonvarna in the sun!
The show is a musical stroll down showband street featuring the great hit songs from The Royal Showband, Joe Dolan, Red Hurley and Dickie Rock.
The Showband Man will be performing this Friday evening, October 25, from 9pm in the Abbey Court Hotel. The hotel will also host the Trad for All ceili session this Saturday evening – it’s an open mic event and musicians and singers are most welcome.
