Garda warning over burglaries
Gardaí are appealing for witness information following a number of burglaries in the Nenagh area over the last two weeks. These include break-ins at Ballinaclough on October 23, where a house was ransacked, and a burglary at Mountisland, Dolla, on the evening of October 30.
Another house was broken into at Clover Hill, Lorrha, between October 26 and 27, while a number of items were reported stolen in a burglary at Ballyspillane, Borrisokane, on the evening of October 29. Also in recent days was an attmpted theft of diesel at Loughbrack, Kilcommon, in which an agricultural vehicle was badly damaged.
Gardaí are reminding people that burglaries tend to become more prevalent as the evenings close in. Precautionary measures are advised.
Also in the last week, gardaí are investigating the theft of a dog at Castlewaller, Newport. CCTV footage is being examined as part of the investigation into the theft of what was described as a valuable dog.
