Nenagh rack up another big total in league win

Geraldines 0-8 Nenagh AFC
While their results to date have been a mixed bag, Nenagh AFC have been playing some neat football and threatened to click on a number of occasions. On Sunday, Geraldines had the misfortune to field an understrength XI just as the Tipperary side slipped into gear.
Leading by six at the break, Nenagh tacked on another couple after the restart in a facile win. Mike O'Gorman helped himself to a hat-trick with Dylan Morrison scoring twice. Nathan Kelly, Kieran Barr, and Saeed Ryan also found the target to complete the winner’s tally.

Tuohy Cup
Pike Rovers 4-1 Newport Town
Newport Town’s quest for Tuohy Cup success came to an end on Wednesday when they crashed out of the competition at the hands of Pike Rovers in the first round.
Both sides opted to rest a number of players, but they still produced an entertaining game. Kieran Hanlon gave Pike the lead ten minutes before half time and Josh Quinlivan doubled it before the sides departed for the break.
With twenty minutes remaining, Quinlivan scored his second to make it 3-0 before Christy Doyle pulled one back for Newport. Youth player Aaron Cusack completed the scoring with the final goal for the winners.

Lower Leagues
Newport Town ‘B’ were edged out by Mungret Regional ‘B’ by the odd goal in five. Dave O'Brien (2) and Eoghan Flynn scored for the winners; Adam Dore and Adam O'Neill replied for Mungret.
Herbertstown beat Lough Derg 4-1 in Division 2B with Jay Collins scoring the only goal for the lakesiders.
Division 3A leaders Fairview Rangers ‘C’ were impressive in a 6-0 win over Lough Derg ‘B’.
