Lowry looks set to top the poll
The counting of votes in General Election 2024 has been ongoing since early this morning in Thurles.
In Tipperary North, 60 of 161 boxes have been opened and the count figures show Deputy Michael Lowry leading the charge. He is followed by Deputy Alan Kelly and surprise package, the newly-elected councillor, Ryan O'Meara. The figures show:

Kelly (Labour) 15.7%
O’Meara (FF) 14.0%
Smith (FF) 10%
Bugler (FG) 9 %
Ryan (IND) 8.2 %
Harty (SF) 6.5%
Barry (SF) 2.2%
O’Toole (AON) 1.7%
Pocock (GP) 1.5%
O’Dwyer (PBP) 1.2%
Madden (IP) 0.9%
Minehan (IND) 0.3%
