Top apprentice Wayne Hassett and trainer Joseph O'Brien combined to take the opening seven-furlong auction maiden with the 3/1 chance Fortuna Vera at Dundalk on Wednesday last.

She came with a late run to deny the Edward and Partick Harty-trained 12/1 shot Wait For It by a neck.

Trainer Andy Slattery gave apprentice Sam Coen his third winner as 9/2 chance Rock Etoile took the opening division of the eight-furlong handicap.

Owned by John Moloney, the six-year-old led at the furlong pole and had a length and a quarter to spare over Mark Fahey’s 4/1 favourite Daonethatgotaway at the line.

The father and son team of Tim & David Doyle won the two-mile mares’ maiden hurdle with Beauforts Storm at Thurles on Thursday.

A 1/5 favourite, the Claire Doyle-owned five-year-old made all and had any amount in hand as she beat Ciaran Murphy’s Mile End by three and three-parts of a length.

Toomevara conditional jockey Conor Clarke and trainer Emmet Mullins were on the mark with 22/1 chance Dream On Baby in the near three-mile maiden hurdle at Thurles on Friday.

In the colours of the Seven Heads Group Syndicate, the four-year-old led before the final hurdle and went clear to score by five and a half lengths from Mouse Morris’ Bossofthebrownies.

John Ryan took the two and a half-mile mares’ handicap hurdle with the 15/2 chance Ad Caelum.

In the trainer’s own colours, the Sean O'Keeffe-ridden five-year-old led at the second-last hurdle and won by an easy three-lengths from Stephen Kelly’s Inchiquin Star.

The John Byrne-owned Touch The Sound landed the eight-furlong fillies’ maiden for Fozzy Stack and Joey Sheridan at Dundalk on Friday.

The 9/2 chance led after two furlongs and was always in control as she beat Joseph O'Brien’s Whisper A Prayer and Wayne Hassett by a length.

David Marnane and jockey Luke McAteer kept up their good winter run of form as the 3/1 chance Aviatrice won the six-furlong fillies’ maiden for two-year-olds.

She raced up with the pace and led inside the final furlong to beat Willie McCreery’s odds-on favourite Lunigiana by a length and three-parts.

Denis Hogan took the handicap over the same distance with the Nicola Burns-ridden Sporting Hero.

Owned by the Winning Chance Syndicate, the 9/2 chance was another to lead inside the final furlong and he scored by half a length from Stephen Thorne’s 4/1 favourite Never Shout Never.

Wayne Hassett signed off with a winner when partnering Shane Crawley’s Trishuli River to take the second division of the 10-furlong handicap.

Owned by the Hon The River Syndicate, the 3/1 favourite scored by two and a half lengths from the Johnny Feane-trained Eighty Eight.

While Grade 1 winners Lossiemouth and Croke Park made the headlines for Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott respectively at Fairyhouse on Sunday, Harry Swan reached the significant milestone of riding out his claim when winning the concluding bumper on the Elliott-trained Koktail Brut.

The 15/8 shot became Swan’s 60th career winner when beating Pat Doyle’s 100/30 chance Mossy Way by seven lengths with Willie Mullins’ favourite Unknown Entity five lengths further back in third place.
