New Tipp Hurling Book launched in time for Christmas

“Tipperary Land of Blue and Gold” written by Stephen Gleeson was launched in front of a large attendance at the Horse & Jockey Hotel last Saturday evening by special guests Eoin Kelly and Dan Quirke.

MC, Cathal Minogue of Today FM fame, did a fantastic job and also interviewed Tipperary PRO Jonathan Cullen and supporter Kevin Hanly.

The event was a celebration, full of stories and conversation focusing on the past, present, and future of Tipperary hurling.

Eoin Kelly spoke of the different dynamics of a hurling career focusing on the 2001 All-Ireland win as well as how times had changed by the time the 2010 win came around.

Dan Quirke spoke about his memories at club and county level and gave an update on the magnificent work of the Dillon Quirke Foundation in screening young people nationwide.

The book is on sale at the Nenagh Bookshop.
