Brother selected for council seat

JP O'Meara has been nominated and unanimously selected by local Fianna Fáil members to take up his brother's recently-vacated council seat in Nenagh/Borrisokane.

This follows on from the election of Ryan O'Meara as a TD for Tipperary North on Friday, November 29.

JP O'Meara said: “I am honoured at the support I have received in being nominated and unanimously selected by the local Fianna Fáil organisation to take up this seat.

“As someone who was born in Toomevara and who has been living and working locally in Nenagh for over 20 years, I will use my experience to work hard and deliver for our area.

“I want to thank everyone for their support and I look forward to working with the local Fianna Fáil team in North Tipperary as well as with my council colleagues to help our community.”

JP O'Meara works with Gaelic Armour, a sportswear company based in Stereame Business Park in Nenagh where they design and manufacture innovative playing kit to athletes, sports teams, and individuals. He lives in Nenagh with his partner and three children.
