Witness appeal over serious road traffic collision
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision that occurred in Gortnagowna, Co. Tipperary last night, Wednesday 15th January 2025.
The collision involving a car and a pedestrian occurred on the N62 at approximately 10:30pm. Emergency services attended the scene
The pedestrian, a male in his 40s, was conveyed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of serious injuries.
The road between Roscrea and Templemore was closed this morning while a technical examination of the scene was carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators (FCI). The road has now reopened.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. Any persons who may have witnessed the collision in Gortnagowna, or were in the area between 10 and 11pm should make contact with the investigating gardaí.
Additionally, any road users with dash-cam footage from the area at the time of the incident are asked to make that footage available.
