St Brigid’s Cloak, crocheted and knitted by the ladies of the Ballycommon Crafters Group.

St Brigid's Cloak on display

On Monday, February 3, the Ballycommon Craft Group and the Arra Historical Society invite everyone to Kilcolman’s GAA Complex New Building from 10am-12.30 to celebrate St Brigid’s Day.

The St Brigid’s cloak that the Ballycommon Crafters designed and made will be on display, there will be stories and songs also. There will be a short pilgrimage to the holy well (1km) for those who choose.

There will be refreshments served afterwards. Anyone named Brigid or any variant of it and anyone with a picture of Brigid or a name or a memory will be invited to gather under the cloak as a demonstration of how St Brigid’s blessings work out in the world we all live in.
