Apartments plan in Roscrea

Tipperary Co Council has received a new application in respect of a plan to develop 25 apartments in Roscrea.

Dermot Ryan and Rosemary Ryan are seeking amendments to previously approved planning permission for the demolition of Roscrea Motor Works (incorporating Milan Motors) on Church Street. A number of buildings on Lourdes Road are also be demolished as part of the plan.

Residential development consisting of the construction of a three-storey building accommodating 25 apartments was planned. The amendments for which this new planning application refers to are 22 apartments, comprised of eight studio apartments, three one-bedroom apartments and 11 two-bedroom duplex apartments

A new vehicular entrance to the proposed development is to be formed off Church Street. Other aspects of the plan include 15 car parking spaces and 15 bicycle parking spaces.

A decision from the council is due by March 3 next.
