New website for Lorrha and Dorrha

The parish of Lorrha and Dorrha celebrated the launch of its new website, www.lorrhadorrha.ie, at a special event in Lorrha Hall on Wednesday, January 22. This exciting development was made possible through funding from North Tipperary Development Company’s Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP). The new website combines the work of two existing sites.

Firstly, it builds on the legacy of the former Lorrha and Dorrha parish website, which faithfully served the community for many years under the dedicated management of Rose Mannion.

Rose’s contributions laid the foundation for this enhanced platform, which is designed to bring the community closer together. Additionally, the new website incorporates the current website of the Social and Community Enterprise for the Advancement of Lorrha and Rathcabbin (SCEAL), www.visitlorrhadorrha.com, which will eventually be retired. The combined content ensures that www.lorrhadorrha.ie is a comprehensive resource for residents and visitors alike. The website offers a wide range of features, including information about local organisations, parish history, and the latest news. Visitors can browse past editions of the parish calendar, view engaging videos, and access the current parish newsletter.
