Go-ahead for Newtown school plan

Conditional planning permission has been granted for new development at Youghalarra National School, Newtown.

The board of management has received permission from Tipperary Co Council for increasing the car park area; removal of an existing prefab, oil tank, cabin and shed; construction of a new ball court; resurfacing of the existing tarmac, and construction of a new drainage layout.

Among the conditions of planning imposed by the council is the requirement of a revised site layout plan indicating provision for cycle parking on the site and providing for ducting to facilitate provision of future electric vehicle charging.
