A LECTURE on Tomás Malone and his role in the fight for Irish freedom will be given by Tara Brady on Thursday, February 13, in The Roundhill Bar, Nenagh (E45DD59) at 8pm.

Tomás Malone was the Vice Officer in Command of the Limerick Flying Column of the IRA.

Ms Brady’s talk will cover his life and fight for Ireland’s freedom from 1916 and subsequent years.

Many will probably remember that the speaker proudly represented the Premier County in last year’s International Rose of Tralee Festival.

She is the holder of an MA Degree in Public and Cultural History.
