Male hospitalised after assault
A male has been hospitalised following a suspected serious assault in Carrigatoher on last Monday afternoon.
The man was transferred by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick.
He underwent surgery for his wounds and is now in a stable condition, according to local gardaí.
A youth was arrested and brought to Nenagh Garda Station and detained for questioning. He was later released, pending the preparation of a file for the DPP.
A number of thefts have been reported in the locality in the past number of days.
Two males are suspected of breaking into a car and stealing tools and cable from a vehicle in the Coille Bheithe estate in Nenagh on Monday last.
A car parked at the Tesco carpark in Nenagh was burgled last week. A number of items were taken.
Burglars also stole a ride-on lawnmower and chainsaw from a garage at Cilmaglasberry, Birdhill. The incident happened sometime between Wednesday week and Sunday last.
Gardaí in Nenagh are seeking the public’s help in assisting them with any of these crimes.
