Happy St Patrick's Day to all our readers, advertisers and print customers.

Nenagh, like many of the towns and villages all over North Tipperary are in festive mode as parades are set to take place today.

There will be street parades and other entertainment in towns like Roscrea, Ballina and Nenagh to mark the feast day of the nation’s patron saint.

Nenagh will host its first street parade since 2019 on this Saint Patrick’s Day on Monday.

On top of that there will be a feast of musical entertainment, fun for all the family and celebration of the best of local artisan produce in the grounds of Nenagh Courthouse.

The gates to the site will open at 12 noon and there will be live music from 1.15pm.

PARADES

The parade in town will set out from the railway station at 1pm and follow a new route up Kenyon Street. It will then turn right into Pearse Street and continue to Kickham Street for a finish at Banba Square.

Ballina-Killaloe and Roscrea will host parades on Saint Patrick’s Day.

The parade in Ballina-Killaloe starts at 2.30pm at Ballina GAA carpark. It will travel through Ballina, the bridge, Main Street, and finish on The Green. Some floats will continue to Lakes Nursing Home in Killaloe.
