Amanda and Mel, daughters of Brendan Grace, Nenagh Arts Centre, April 3.

An entertaining evening of real talk in Nenagh

Join sisters Amanda Grace and Mel Gillespie - daughters of Ireland’s late beloved comedian Brendan Grace - for an unforgettable night of candid conversations, laughter and inspiration at the Nenagh Arts Centre.

Back in November of 2024, Amanda and Mel posted the first episode of their podcast ; The Road Back Home, setting the groundwork for an insightful and inspiring listening experience that was just recently rated third in the Irish Charts. Melanie co-hosts from Boston, where she runs a stage school for kids, while Amanda resides in Ballina. Amanda is trained as a therapist, coach and facilitator, and describes herself as “a lifelong journaler, inner work mentor, artist and woman in recovery from ‘all the things’”.

Together, the Grace sisters have positioned their podcast as a community for women who are ready to reclaim their happiness, embrace healing and prioritise their well-being.

Each episode of their podcast unpacks the barriers to happiness - whether it’s people-pleasing, perfectionism, or burnout - while providing tools and encouragement to move forward. Amanda and Mel blend professional insight with lived experience, to show listeners what’s possible when they dare to prioritise themselves.

Now the sisters are gracing the stage of the Nenagh Arts Centre on April 3 with an all new live podcast event, ‘Your Happiness Is A Gift’..

‘Your Happiness Is a Gift’ explores the power of self-care, boundaries and breaking free from societal expectations, offering a fresh perspective on living authentically in midlife.

“Drawing on our family’s history - our late father, Brendan Grace, was a beloved comedian - we recognise that happiness has always been our family’s business.

“We want to honour this legacy by helping others cultivate their own happiness, not through toxic positivity but by addressing and removing the obstacles to true contentment and emotional well-being.”

Happiness here is not a shallow, fleeting feeling; it’s about living in alignment, finding peace, and creating joy, not in the absence of but despite life’s challenges. It’s not about selling an unrealistic ideal but encouraging listeners to build the inner resilience that makes happiness possible.

‘Your Happiness Is a Gift’ serves as a bridge between the transformative journey of healing and the empowering clarity and encouragement found in candid, relatable conversations.

“Our personal and professional experiences allow us to tackle complex emotional themes while making space for levity and connection.”

Humour is an integral part of their approach, reflecting their Irish roots and their father’s legacy. But the sisters are careful to balance humour with vulnerability, ensuring that their conversations remain grounded, professional, and deeply relatable. “We aim to uplift without undermining the seriousness of the inner work required for lasting change.”

The podcast and the upcoming live show will resonate with women navigating midlife, who are ready to break free from people-pleasing, perfectionism, and societal expectations. They’ll find practical tools, relatable stories, and actionable insights to support their journeys toward greater happiness and fulfilment.

We invite you to join us at Nenagh Arts Centre on April 3 at 8pm where Amanda and Mel will guide attendees through exercises, stories, and conversations that highlight how prioritising their well-being can transform not only their lives but their relationships and communities.

“Our mission is simple: to make the world a brighter place, one happier woman at a time. Let’s shift the narrative, together. Your happiness is a gift.”
